OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
WHAT IS OCC?
Living Hope Church is proud and blessed to partner with Samaratin's Purse each year for the Operation Christmas Child ministry. "The global Christmas project Operation Christmas Child uses gift-filled shoeboxes to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 168 million shoebox gifts to children in more than 160 countries and territories. Each year the project mobilizes more than 150,000 volunteers in the United States. Since 2010, more than 14 million children who received a shoebox gift have participated in the follow-up program, The Greatest Journey. This 12-lesson discipleship program teaches children about God’s amazing love and guides them through what it means to faithfully follow Jesus Christ."
PARTICIPATE
Throughout the year we create and gather items to fill the shoe boxes in preparation for our Annual OCC Packing Party! This is a favorite event for many because of the fun we can have while packing each box with love, and anticipation for it's impending journey. Our packing party is not localized, but warmly extended to the entire community. You too can join us in spreading God's great love.

With so many restrictions on items shipping overseas, many are finding it easier to make a monetary donation than shopping for shoebox filler items on their own. We are happy to shop for you, but grateful for all physical item donations as well.
